PurposeMed envisions a healthcare system without barriers to access high quality care.Their mission is to improve access to complex care for underserved communities by reimagining how healthcare works by combining the best clinicians with smart design and technology.
Inspired by the impacts of the CoronaVirus, Dr. Husein Moloo created PurposeMed, a virtual healthcare system that allows patients to easily connect with a physician. Moloo, alongside Co-founders Amaan Banwait and Pete Macleod, saw a need for more accessible healthcare, with an emphasis on helping those in the LGBTQ+ community and those with ADHD. The founding team has expanded their business to have more than 150 clinicians, offering services all across Canada, with three key services: Freddie,Frida, and Foria. These services are focused on HIV prevention, ADHD care and diagnosis, and gender affirming care.
It’s exponential growth has led to attention from large corporations after being placed second on Deloitte’s Companies to Watch list in the Tech Sector.
